Two different briefs for the children’s rooms, one with a love of pink and unicorns, a canopy makes a cosy bedtime reading spot. The other bedroom, brief: colourful with a love of creating. Adding in a reading corner, desk area and small shelving to house this little creatives designs and treasures, adds to the functionality, cosiness & interest. Ensuring that all the room layouts work well for the spaces, adding in key timeless investment pieces of built in joinery to maximise storage throughout, all of which marry with the feel of the bedrooms.

Creating a restful feel….

using a muted palette of the client’s favourite tones and patterned wallpaper, all of which connect nicely with the outside view. A painted ceiling, paneling and a fireplace all add interest to the space.

And built in bespoke shaker wardrobes serve in the all important storage.

A full refurbishment was also needed in the bathroom, it made sense to keep the layout the same, extending the shower and creating a wet room with a light and airy open feel. Seamless flooring, creates an illusion of more space. Adding in lovely details, a roll top bath, fluted vanity and beautiful brushed brass. Continuing with the blend of classic and contemporary, and the cohesive yet individual colour palette throughout the whole of the upstairs.

Absolutely Fantastic! If you are reading this you are likely considering getting an interior designer and wondering how to choose. Look no further - Hilary has been an absolute godsend for us. She’s helping us refurb a 1920s period house from top to bottom. Her designs are wonderful, her communication clear and outcomes picture perfect. She really does take the stress out of the whole process. The contacts she has to help pull the projects together are just the icing on the cake - from joiners to decorators, wardrobe makers to bathroom installers, all dependandable and skilled workers.

In summary - she’s amazing and you won’t regret it.
